PT Saraswanti Anugerah Makmur Tbk (SAMF) collaborates with one of its sister companies, PT Saraswanti Indo Genetech (SIG), to develop a chemical test laboratory, to support product development and research related to improving SAMF’s existing products. PT Saraswanti Indo Genetech (SIG) is one of SAMF’s sister companies that are experts in laboratories.
Recently, SAMF and SIG opened a branch of SIG chemical test laboratory at AMG Tower, Surabaya. The President Director of SIG, Dr. Ir. M. Edi Premono, and the President Director of SAMF, Ir. Yahya Taufik, inaugurated the opening of this branch.
In addition to developing fertilizer products and opening for the public interest (commercial purposes), this laboratory is also used for internal purposes that support the development and improvement of fertilizer product technology and research activities for testing fertilizers in soil and plants.
The laboratory’s scope and activities that support the fertilizer agroindustry cover the realm of various kinds of analysis for types of fertilizers. Because every element in fertilizer interacts and experiences dynamics in the soil and plants, this laboratory also analyzes samples in the form of soil and leaves.
Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, this laboratory is supported by a team of analysts who are well trained to perform fundamental analysis and instrumentation. The standard applied by the laboratory for quality refers to ISO 17025 using SNI and International standard methods. Material measurement instrumentation equipment available in the laboratory includes Karl Fischer, Spectrophotometer, UV-Vis, Flame Photometer, AAS, and ICP OES.
Ir. Yahya Taufik said that in an increasingly progressive era of agroindustry, business success is supported by how much research facilities and laboratories support. Thus, with this collaboration laboratory, it is hoped that SAMF can produce quality products that are beneficial to consumers.
