Jakarta – PT Saraswanti Anugerah Makmur Tbk (SAMF) successfully scored a 32% growth in sales quantum in 1H/2024, compared to the same period in the previous year of 270,000 tons, when the fertilizer selling price decreases. Entering mid-2024, the national and global fertilizer industry faces significant opportunities and challenges. The shifting planting season caused by El Nino affects demand trends and market price stability. Nevertheless, the Company has ensured the fulfillment of fertilizer needs with the best production performance.

President Director of the Company, Ir. YahyaTaufik said, “Alhamdulillah, the Company has successfully passed 1H/2024 with a positive production performance achievement, and in accordance with the target. Of course, this can be achieved with the support of all employees, both in the holding Company and itssubsidiaries. In 1H/2024, the Company’s fertilizer sales decreased 12%, but in quantum terms, we sold 32% more than in 1H/2023. The decline was caused by several factors, including the price of fertilizer raw materials, which has returned to normal as the situation before the Covid Pandemic”.

The company recorded sales of Rp2.41 trillion during 1H/2024, decreases 12% from the previous Rp2.77 trillion in the same period in 2023. Meanwhile, as of the end of June 2024, Saraswanti’s profit for the year amounted to Rp216 billion, a slight decrease of 13% compared to the first six months of 2023’s Rp245 billion. 

On the other hand, the company engaged in the production and distribution of NPK fertilizers recorded assets of Rp3.52 trillion, with liabilities of Rp2.14 trillion and equity of Rp1.37 trillion.
