KOKA NPK Fertilizer, Special Fertilizer for Coffee & Cocoa

In an effort to anticipate the development of fertilization technology towards efficient and effective principles, PT Saraswanti Anugerah Makmur in collaboration with the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center (PPKKI) has developed a special formulated fertilizer for coffee and cocoa, which was later commercialized under the name KOKA after a long period of experiments. KOKA is a controlled-release compound fertilizer, with an intermediate release category, which is able to provide nutrients for 5-6 months. KOKA contains complete nutrients (both macro-nutrients and micro-nutrients), slow release agents, and is enriched with humic compounds.

KOKA is in the form of solid briquettes, with a weight of 1.2 – 1.5 grams per briquette, resulting in a low surface area to weight ratio. This low surface area ratio, together with the slow release agent it contains, results in a controlled release of nutrients, enabling KOKA to provide nutrients for up to 5-6 months. Thus, KOKA is technically more effective in nutrient supply (according to plant needs), and highly efficient because it prevents nutrient loss due to leaching and volatilization. Humic compounds in KOKA play a role in improving soil structure and root microflora activity, so that the rhizosphere becomes healthy and increases the capacity of roots to absorb nutrients.

KOKA has three product variants, namely:

• KOKA NPK: Formulated for coffee and cocoa nurseries, coffee and cocoa TBMs and cocoa TMs.
• KOKA NP: TM coffee formulation, for flowering stimulation
• KOKA NK: Coffee TM formulation, for fruit filling
